BREAKING NEWS
ASTON VILLA: Confirmation that Diego Carlos has ruptured his Achilles’ tendon. The player will require surgery and will then begin his rehabilitation programme.          EVERTON: Ben Godfrey had surgery on Monday after suffering a fractured fibula during the opener against Chelsea. Meanwhile, defensive teammate Yerry Mina will meet with a specialist this week after damaging ankle ligaments during the same game.           LIVERPOOL: Thiago Alcantara could be sidelined for up to six weeks following the left hamstring injury he suffered at Craven Cottage on Saturday. The Spaniard missed 18 games through injury (10 PL) in 2021-22.          LEICESTER CITY: Brendan Rodgers says there is no 'exact time' for Harvey Barnes to return from his knee injury despite initially believing he would only be a few weeks. 'He’s been with the medical team. He still has an irritation around the knee.' Ricardo Pereira will not play again this year, and Ryan Bertrand is still a 'number of weeks' from being in contention. Wesley Fofana is 'aware' of the interest from Chelsea, but the defender is said to be 'getting on with his work' although the Blues could table a third bid for the Frenchman. Everyone else is expected to be fit and available for Saturday.           AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Fredericks will once again be missing from the Cherries squad. 'Ryan has come on a little bit, to be fair, he is out on the grass with us, and he’s pushing ahead in the right direction,' Scott Parker told reporters on Thursday. 'We are probably a few more weeks from him being fully integrated into training.' Joe Rothwell is also out. '[He's] still not out on the grass at this present moment in time, and that’s more slower [but] he is still progressing in the right way.' David Brooks continues to work his way back to full fitness following his recovery from cancer. Parker will manage new signing Marcos Senesi, but the Argentine defender will be "in and around" the squad this weekend. 'We've progressed him slowly; we don't want to rush him. But he will be involved in some capacity.'
