Lewis Miley Injuries

'The reason [he was] here on the bench is because we were giving [him] every opportunity to [be] fit. The recovery time is so small, you don't always get the info and speed you need. He couldn't bend his knee to sufficient angles to declare himself fit.' 'Lewis, I'm not sure will make this game either.' 'We'll find out today... I'm awaiting an update on him, but again it's not a serious injury, and we hope he'll be back very soon.' 'Lewis, I need to see today - we'll get another update on his progress. He got a nasty bang to his leg, so it's sort of a dead leg that has dragged on longer than we thought, so we'll see how he is.' 'Lewis, we are waiting day-by-day. It is a dead leg, a bad knock to his thigh. He is having scans every few days, we will wait and see on that one...' 'He's made good progress in the last few days. We're happy with his progress. He's had a no. of scans, it came from a knock, and it was a really bad dead leg which gave him some muscle disruption, so as soon as that's healed, which we think it is now, we can push him on quite quickly.' 'Lewis still has a little bit to go. Without going into too much medical stuff, which is beyond me, it was a dead leg, but it disturbed a bit of the muscle. I don't think he's too far away, nothing more than a week or a couple of weeks maximum, but we've been told that we've got to be careful with it.' 'Lewis, he has had a couple of injections, we are looking at a couple of weeks for him. If we don't get the management of this injury right, he could be out for the season.' 'It's getting there now. I got a knock to my leg, and it's caused some muscle damage. It's been very frustrating... I'll hopefully be back before the Int' break and hopefully back for a couple of games before that. I am hoping for Barca away.' 'Lewis isn't there yet and will not make the next couple of games.' 'We were hoping he would be fit for [Barcelona away], and I don't know if that has deviated at all. He is not training with the group. He is on the grass now, running again and working incredibly hard. But all the feedback I have had from the medical team is that we have to be careful with this injury.' 'Lewis isn't with the squad, unfortunately. He's trained at home today, so we're probably looking at the other side of the international break for him - it's just taking a bit longer than we'd hoped.' 'We anticipate Lewis (Miley) will be back after the break, same with Bruno (Guimaraes) and Fab (Schar).' 'On everybody else, we are pretty good. Lewis has trained and trained well, so that has been a great thing for us to see because we have missed him massively.'

'He's got glandular fever, so he's currently resting. He's probably a couple of weeks into four weeks of lower physical exertion, but then, hopefully, we can build him up.'
